You are right, this year is hot and dry, yet there seems to be a lot of apples, plums and chestnuts.

Me too, the bloom on those is beautiful

I am not sure of their name as I inherited the tree when we bought the house. I also have a greengage tree but there was a late frost here so no fruit this year.
