Brambly apples near ready for picking

are these in your garden John, I could do with some to go with my blackberries,

Your quite welcome to have as much as you like Val .I planted the tree in the garden about 24 years ago,it is way to big for the garden I have to cut it back every second year. I get a huge amount of apples off it each year to my neighbour's delight.Anne is a dab hand at making apple tarts.

A neighbour of mine has a massive apple tree too. Last year he gave me loads of apples. We had apple pie or crumble for weeks:-)

Hope he has a good crop this year too, he went around the houses in our cul-de-sac trying to give them away ...one neighbour said she didn't bake! :-)
