That's so beautiful! I thought I had these this year, but the cold July did for them. :(

It's a nice change isn't it Dawn this is one Jim gave me , Karen I'm hoping to collect seed from this one ,we will see and let you both know if I have some .......

Thats lovely of you Amy but give them to someone else. I've given up on them now. It's daft to try to grow stuff that isn't suitable in your climate.

You know best Karen it's a shame you can't grow them ,thanks for letting me know :o)

I grew some from seed but they are so tender, had a frost one night in spring and they were frosted even under glass.

I wonder why you have so much trouble growing them....I have had too pull out so many of these out of the garden from seeds dropping last year. And it's cccold here in the winter. I got seeds from a friend who's been growing them for years in her garden.
One year I bought seeds for blue ones & they never came back even though seed must have dropped all over from them as well.
We refer to them as 'Morning Glory' :)

I,ll save you some seed from this pink one Dawn , they are very temperamental Flora sometimes I have lots and other times none It must have something do with our climate ,it goes from hot/ sunny to cold /freezing to deluges of rain all in a few days .. we call them Morning glory as well ,it's their common name . Blue has always been the one you were most likely to see this is the first year I've seen a pink one .. do you have any other colours beside blue and pink ?
23 Aug, 2012
There is a purplish one as well that I've seen. I had all 3 one year, very pretty but it's these pink ones that keep coming back (not that I mind)
Do your blue ones come back?
I've seen blue in a light & a dark color.

Ours always die off in the winter Flora I haven't known any of mine to seed themselves like yours ,we have to grow them from seed each year The purple one sounds nice , our blues do vary from light to a darker shade .. this pink one is flowering very well at the moment with lots of blooms . :o)

It is beautiful. Ours also die off in winter, certain ones are wild possibly. They can strangle off other plants which is why I pulled them out. I have a few that fell into a pot but are very scrawny looking. There is one growing in the ground that I left purposely near the base of a birdbath but might be sorry next year if I let it grow.
