This picture was taken in August last year. This year it looks exactly same. You would think that I would move it someplace else but I did not. It was sold to me as deer proof hosta.

Lori, the plant will come out next year beuatifully, just for the deer to enjoy again. Happens every year. There are only few plants around here that they will not eat but will nibble on almost anything. The mom and the baby deer we have around recently are sure cute though.

I always find it sad in November when it's deer hunting season.

Aw...sorry to see. but will it shouldn't kill the plant. LOL...if you check the label you will find that they word it differently...such a slight difference in phraseology but a big difference when confronted with the animal...it's "deer resistant" ...like the plant could debate with the animal..or run away! I had a good chuckle when I bought an orphan hosta at the GC this spring...it looked like it needed a good home and there was the "deer resistant" label!..had a good laugh. The plant is right at the edge of the forest...so we shall see! We haven't had enough rain this summer and the trees are suffering...so is the hosta.
