Looking for a Name Please :-)

Looking for a Name Please :-)

This beauty I found along the river just along the border of the preserve. I do not believe it is native, and to me it looks like bergenia of some sort, but I have never seen it. Since it is just on the preserve edge, I feel it will be my duty to remove it from that location. :-) Couldn't kill such a lovely thing, so I think it will have to come home with me.

I'm still not sure, Thank you Bik. I left no size reference, the flower stalks are almost 16 inches. So it is a big plant, larger than most saxifraga. I was thinking in the bergenia family but I'm coming up with nothing on searches.

looks like more of a saxifraga niponica or a hybrid of it.??

This I found in the woods banking a national preserve. I must get some as it is so large. Once I've got it more established, maybe then I could share. :-)

I know Lori. What a beauty! The blue in the back is mertensia, our common bluebell. I've got large clumps to encourage here in the new garden.
