'Prairie Fire'

'Prairie Fire' (Carex testacea)

Such a lovely grass. I've added a few of these, some small some quite large like this one. I do hope they prove to be very hardy as I'm beginning to really love grasses now!

love these Karen - I think they need a little protection in very cold frosts

A pretty one, I love my grasses, would not like a garden without them...

I've only just started with grasses Paul and Angela. I really didn't like them much for years. Funny how you change your mind in time isn't it? What I've realised is how good they are at blending other perennials and the contrast in texture they offer. I love the evergreen ones now.
