Colour My World

This brilliant fluro pink flower is amazing when in bloom but need help with the name as do not know it and well on my patio brings colour as I walk out the door it is bigger than my hand in full bloom pitty they don't last so long.

It's a cactus which grows as an epiphyte on tree branches, in the forests Central America.
It's called Epiphyllum. There are several species and hybrids.

Thaks Hywel for your info. I see here in Mexico Epiphytic plants ("air plants") growing everywhere . Many on electrical wires. We have several in our backyard trees. Not blooming though :-(

Thank you so much for the information and yes the flowers are gone but just can't wait till the next lot I have it in a basket on the patio so can get the full impact of it. And wow Klahanie Mexico wow I never got there when I was living in the States and yes the castus flowers there that I've seen are so colourful and beautiful.
