That is what I'd like to ask. What happens to your pond's wildlife during these hard winters?

it's quite bright here Bloomer - snow finally stopped , even with these low temps it will melt fairly quickly, at least we have longer lit days. Clocks forward on early Sunday next week too

The frogs go to the bottom, as do the fish, and the cols sends them to sleep. They usually survive without any problem....still no signs of any life in my pond :(

Yes, everyone is depressed. I haven't met anyone who isn't sick to the back teeth of it now. :(

let's pray this is the last week - missing the joys of spring - birds singing , bees and all - the milder weather is tantalisingly close by end of week - still putting my hopes on Sat last day of cold - snow before we get there though

Yes, that's the same forecast as I saw on the BBC this evening Paul! We will have to tough it out another week, but I have nothing to complain about compared to you folks who are snowed under again! :))

I put it on FB Tues for the 28th March - be about 30th instead. I usually do the forecasts Tues for following weeks - the pressure maps give me 9 days of readings

we will by looks of by about 6th April have cold sunnier drier northerlies - but most likely frosty nights

yep !! I keep my eye closely on graphs now as it's bad and it's Bday soon - at moment it should be ok
