That is a beauty. I dedicated mine to the people in Japan last year. I think I will need to prune it after flowering to make it bushier.

Yes it is but it got damaged and ended up with fewer branches than it started out with. I was not bothered by that as i liked the shape I was looking at. Unfortunately its not now as glorious looking as I had hoped. Its got lots of buds but not in flower yet. Its only 18" high so I have plenty of time to sort it out.

This is the second one I have seen this week, a pretty Prunus, yours is certainly dwarf compared to Meadowlands? was very undecided about this, but we went with Prunus Accolade and Prunus Shirotae..just waiting for some sun now......

I have only one open flower at the moment. I have mine in a pot on the pond wall. Never thought of putting it in the ground.
