Ooh, now, I wonder if mine will flower this year. Gorgeous isn't it!

Beautiful such perfection...

I love Akebias...but you do need to get in close to appreciate the flowers in detail. I hope yours does oblige, K.

Well, now that the dark one is gone, this one is under pressure to perform! :)

15 Apr, 2013

You'll be pleased to hear that this one is nowhere near as vigorous as the dark one!

Oh, thanks for that, that is good news!

I can't make it appear, but I expect so. There is only one maroon one, after all.

oh sorry, probably too long a link, i shall look out for one ~ do they need sun?

18 Apr, 2013

Not full sun. The cream one gets more shade than sun!

I am hoping my red one flowers this year. It put a lot of growth on last year but the icy winds didn't do it any favours so fingers crossed for flowers this year.

Mine has a few little tight buds on it - so it'll be a while before it flowers. Good luck with yours!

My maroon one is full of flower Barbara, but I would like to get the cream one. I've never had it seed though, supposed to look like sausages I believe o:))

Guess what - we need a warm summer to get any seeds!
