This was taken in my Mum's garden last year. She always loved the scent (I think it is viburnum?) and it seems the bees do too :)

It is Viburnum bodnantense..possibly 'Dawn'. Lovely photo DR!

Nice shot . I agree with Karen it is Viburnum x bodnantense ‘Dawn’ . It blooms for a long time this year . I still have some flowers on (sparingly)
is the insect Bombylius major ? Looks like a bee with a long beak.

Thank you all! Thanks Karen and Klahanie for the plant ID, I'm not sure what particular kind of bee it was sorry Khalanie but from a quick Google search I wouldn't think it is Bombylius major?
Would anyone be able to advise on taking a cutting of this viburnum? I'd very much like to if possible. Thanks!

I've not taken cuttings from Viburnums before DR. They are very easy shrubs to get hold of in the GC though. I would think you just need a soft or semi-ripened cutting, but you could put it on the questions page, or look in the Goypedia at the bottom of the page. There might be a page on cuttings.
