This way of teaching children, directly under the sky and trees, was promoted several hundred years ago by Czech (or sometimes Bohemian) Brothers, who after the defeat of Protestants in the Czech kingdom fled to the Netherlands and Poland. One of the authors (Komensky) called this way of teaching children "school as a game". This was in Barcelona, Spain. I wish I was many many years younger and could have been one of those pupils. Maybe next time.

I would have loved it for me...one of my sons didn't do so well in the classroom, always distracted, distracting others.
I think he had a permanent spot in the principals office & I got calls almost daily. Now he has a job where he works outside all day & wouldn't have it any other way :)
