Kerria japonica

Buds only just starting to break on my Kerria. I like the single and the double!

It is still quite cool here, it is the wind there is an edge to it....love the Kerrias so reliable.

People say that they 'walk' but this one doesn't, not really. I can see it across the garden from the kitchen window, and it's so cheerful.

We used to grow the double in the Midlands and that certainly walked, well ran ......

My Spiraea bumaldii (sp) has decided to go walk-a-bout this year! Eeek!

I'd like to dig some of the suckers up, but they're mixed up with other plants. Grrrr....

That is so very annoying, have been out and covered some of the more tender plants up, yet again!! when will we get some constant warmth?

I bought two Senettii and two Schizanthus yesterday - they're tucked in the greenhouse. I daren't risk planting them out!

I dont blame you, we had a flipping frost last night, caught our new Prunus Shirotea, was not amused!!

We haven't had one yet, but the temps have dropped considerably. The wind is ruining flowers and 'burning' the new shoots.

I reckon, looking at our old photos we are at least 5 weeks behind.......we moved south for the warmth lol

I haven't noticed any warmth yet - well, just one day, I suppose, when we had 15 degrees!

Has been very hot today, but we are now getting frost at night!!

There was a light frost last night. The sun's out though, and it's gone already. I can't say it's hot here - pleasantly warm, that's all.
