Clematis Alpina

Very attractive,is it growing close to the ground.

these are delightful, I was very close to buying a couple this week. The blue & the purple but resisted. Already bought 6 clems last week & only four posts to accommodate (I never was any good at maths LOL !)

Bjs, it is growing on retaining wall. I have boston ivy on that wall which is not in leaf yet, that is why I bought Alpina,

Bamby, LOL, I am the same way. I buy ...mostly on impulse....and then I worry later where to plant.
I love this one because it is blooming early.
