This excavated area of the garden is fantastic.As I approached, I thought it was a pond, particularly when I saw lots of Gunneras but it wasn't.The visible roots of the trees and the bluebells etc make for a lovely picture!

Thanks Bik...it appealed to me. Two days later we went to Scotney Castle and they had a quarry garden which was also fantastic.Will put a blog up in a few days time .Only managed to put blog up of this Nymans visit recently!
