Flower opening up. I'm sure it will be eaten overnight. We figured out it's the earwigs destroying the lighter colour clematis flowers and plants. They definitely choose specific types and leave others. Picky.

Oh the scourge of earwigs!! they are as ugly as they are destructive...I have a pic...dare I post it? that's a beautiful clematis...love the soft pink papery margins to the petals.
