Delosperma species

An insignificant, little 12mm, off-white, papery flower turns out to be on closer inspection a delicate spread of a ghostly looking, diaphanous, silvery star-burst of other-worldliness. Is this a portal to some other unseen place or just letting the bees know, 'Here be pollen and nectar'?
