Now this is interesting. When I saw it, I thought this is Aquilegia. But then I thought what it should do in the middle of the mountains, close to the touristic road. This is flower exclusive for garden centers, no? So are you sure, Bik?

Katarina, I can find columbines (aquilegia) in the meadows here. Native people used the flowers in the "salads" but the seeds and roots are poisonous.
Of course various hybrids derived from this wildflower are popular garden flowers.
