Hot red poker- Kniphofia

It is an interesting plant but I am not sure if I like it or not. It blooms only for a short time and the lover part is long gone before the upper part opens. (sort of like a gladiolus) And mine never gets hot red but rather salmon color.

It is blooming upward Kaustubh, so the top is delayed. the bottom blooms first and slowly the upper flowers will open.

Aaah.. i see now... but then surprisingly the unbloomed flowers look prettier... ;)

pretty...and you have Boston Fern...I can't grow it either outdoors or in the house...I don't have any luck with it. Your garden looks lovely and lush!
