One of my new clems. All of my established ones are very late this year. I have many that should have been flowering by the end of May and are still nowhere near. It was the late spring that knocked them back. They will come eventually.....

Melchi, if you go on Taylorsclematis.co.uk website, you can choose them by height, flowering times, colour etc. It's an excellent resource, and the plants they supply are excellent if you want to go mail-order.

That sounds good. I am very lucky, though - we have a first-class clematis nursery not far away (they have the National Collection of viticellas). I just have to boost my confidence a bit more. I know if I go there, Richard - the owner - will allay all my fears, and I shall come home laden!!!

I love this. I really must get going with some clematis. I only have montanas, but I do like the larger ones.
