WOW!! Is it Veilchenblau? Mine has done very well too this year, especially the one climbing on the old cherry tree, love the way it has found its way out of all the other climbers going on, on the same old tree...

Michaella yes it really is Veilchenblau, it has gone potty this year. I will take a close up of it for you. Think all the rain we had last year has made them good and strong. :O)

It is quite a dark colour this year, it was much paler last year, no idea why unless it is because the growth is thicker and it was not as perfumed as it is this year, maybe they have to get going well before they start to send out perfume.

It's incredible! My veilchenblau hasn't even started yet, but it's still small...I wish it would get like this...but no chance up here. Wow!

You never know, I haven't done anything with this one apart from tying in the straggly ends, cannot believe how different it is from last year. Must just must be all the rain.
