Is this a David Austin rose?

Yes Dotty it is, well it came as a D A Rose in one of his pots. I bought it from a g.c. a couple of weeks ago, not sure if he is the breeder or not though.

I have a feeling it was named after his wife or daughter? must check, it is a super rose.....

No this is not the one named after his daughter that one is called Claire Austin.....and it is white.

thanks for letting me know, I think I have seen the Claire Austin one, not a fan of white roses have one in the borders and it never does well for me. Think it is called Silver Anniversary, the flowers are beautiful when they appear but it gets mildew on it before it has chance to open up and looks a mess, after saying that it did manage to produce two flowers this year for me. lol.

Do you have a lot of roses?

Dotty I must admit this year to buying loads of roses to go with the ones which I put in the borders a couple of years back. Did a blog on making the latest rose border if you would like to have a look at it. Grass is slowly disappearing. lol

lol now have just been out and checked the label on 'claire' and it isn't Claire at all it is GRACE another senile moment. lol. sorry sorry sorry. lol. what am I like. Well in my defence it is a girls name. lol.

I will try and put pictures on in a blog a bit later on to show you which ones I have, just a tad busy just now so will try and do it next week.
