A Nice Little Salad Selection From the Garden

A Nice Little Salad Selection From the Garden

Things have had a slow start this year but I've now picked 5 or 6 handfuls of early spuds this year from my bags(not in ground this year due to blight couple years ago) the salad leaves have been transplanted under my mesh frame so the sparrows (little blighters) don't strip them along with the Beetroot .And these early carrots (Resistafly) are lovely when picked small and eaten raw or lightly steamed! we'll have these raw with salad this evening. In with the leaves are some mint and a few Beetroot leaves...lovely to add a bit of variety to salad! The spring onions are still tiny but lots more still in the ground to beef up a bit, so, I couldn't resist pulling a few!!

Nothing better than some produce (or fruit) from your own garden. Looks yummy Paul.

Jane, beetroot tops are my DH favorite vegetable...steamed. Very healthy...lots of iron.

Fantastic! We have just had home grown courgette and lettuce too. I love it when your crops succeed. All to often it feels like a total waste of time and money! brilliant Paul. I've never grown carrots...well I tried last year but it was a total disaster with all that rain. Well done!
