This scrambling climber takes a few years to get going, then there's no stopping it

Will this take shade or perhaps semi-shade?

I've never had my slugs touch this, but perhaps there's too many other things they prefer.
My RHS Book says sow seed in early spring or carefully divide the roots at the same time. It also says grow in semi shade, and mine is equally happy growing over a weigela in sun, or delving into a shady physocarpus

Very unusual Andrew... love it, the darker tips at the end, very distinctive

Andrew
Love it
One I take a lot of care with as the slugs around here also love it, will have to wait a few weeks yet for my flowers.
Have you ever heard of anyone dividing up the root or do you think it is done with seed.
