Well, it's been emptied...AGAIN...!

My harmless bottom-feeder (now known as Jaws) should not have been left in. He's like a basking shark with teeth!

I've managed to palm him off onto my personal trainer (yes, you read that right, lol). Well, her small lake is positively choked with weed...

(Let's just hope that she doesn't take terrible revenge on my body one day. She's cruel enough as it is...)

Anyway - got a super-duper pump with bio-filter and radio-active uv lamp...

It's been in a couple of weeks now...and it's still green! lol! But, one of my water-lilies actually flowered! Just the one flower - but, it's the first one I've seen since 2O11 - and there are shoots coming up all over the place.So, now that the plants are not being devoured and I've got technology on my side, I'm definitely optimistic!

I got your PM...and I wrote a lovely one back around lunch-time...but, my computer went "pfutt", just as I was about to send!!

(I was messing about in the pond, at the time...but, I don't think that wet feet had anything to do with it...lol...!!)

I will re-write tomorrow...with lots of gripes about standing in queues this afternoon - as an added bonus! XXXXX

I'm clearing my throat as I write, ahem!

...but, we've got a swimming pool and a garden pond...and I have to differentiate! lol! ;)

The pool is looked after by Jean - and is sparkly clean and beautiful...

...the pond, on the other hand, is looked after by me...and is (was?) a green swamp...but, I'm thinking about getting another couple of ducklings, for Ruaridh coming in August...
...think they'll just make it greener, though...lol!

Lol! No, J...just a sparkly clean pool (for swimming) and a murky, swamp-like pond - entry into which is not advisable...under any circumstances!! lol! :)
