This rose is coming into bloom late, it will be smothered with flowers soon. Colutea Arborescens provides a lovely backdrop with its almost lime green pods. It is commonly called the 'bladder senna' yuk, I don't call it that lol:-)

Looking beautiful. What are the little blue flowers mixed in at the foreground?

Is Colutea invasive? Looks like a nice shrub but it has lots of seeds, no? I like the combination you have there Bornagain.

It's not invasive here Klahanie, I've had it about 15 years or more, no seedlings:-)

Have you got any Annella? They would be perfect if they had a perfume:-))

This is lovely BA. Great colour and guess insects like this one? It is a shame they dont have a perfume as you say.

The new flower carpets do Tet, I'm having an amber one and a white. Not noticed a preference for it by the bees though, but I have paths lined with lavender which sing all day long:-)

I have a white lavender in front garden which have ever changing brown and gold droplets from each flower lol! at least it has stopped my neighbour pinching bits at present lol!
And you still won't tell me the name of this rose!!

Flippin' 'eck Tet ....IT'S FLOWER CARPET!!!!! lol like it says on the tin, or the title:-)))) They are German bred and there are all different colours. Annella has a pic of her pink one on too:-)

All right BA, no need to shout..I may be blind (I did miss the "Rosa" bit which should have made me think), stupid and crippled with arthritis but I'm not yet deaf....a moot point at present! - just googled and love the amber and white ones. They look just the job for containers too!
Now you can go back to looking at your Bladder Senna LOL!

Will if I want 8~p My two Ambers and the white have arrived. Now worrying in case I've let my enthusiasm for Coral carry me away. They don't look too prepossessing at the moment:-(

Trim them back and give them a good feed...wish someone would do that for me and I would look half as beautiful as a rose...

But would you be as prickly?:-)
3 Aug, 2013
Now that's a thorny question!!!
