I love the wine red stems Lori. And yes, does it ever love the shade,thank goodness cause this front area gets barely no sun. Thank you Marguerite for the comment, the leaves are what makes this plant lovely, I'm not a big fan of the flower.

Check out the Goldenray..(przwalskii) it's leaves are quite different and the flowerstems are tall, with small bright yellow flowers...

Oh I love your Lig....it is doing nicely! I have two, a Gregynog Gold, and Lig. przewalskii Goldenray. the flowers on the gregy are yellow orange and daisy like...the seed heads look like dandelions at seed, and the goldenray have tall flower spikes in a bright yellow. Don't you love the wine red stems? I have mine in too much sun...they wilt if it is too hot.
