Another 2 of my favourite plants Linda. Moorheim? and Bombycyphelum or whatever. There are some ginormous ones in the older dry garden at Hyde Hall the RHS garden near to us. Shame they are biennial plants. Not able to find then at local GCs though, then wait ages to bloom one season. Sometimes self seed, which is handy.

It is Verbascum olympicum.....the giant of them all. I grew it from seed. Luckily I have them in different places in the garden at different stages. Would you like some seeds Dorjac? They grow to six or seven feet tall.

Thanks Linda for the offer. Strangley enough we had a visitor bearing a gift, yesterday, of 2 seedling Olympicums for next year. She remembered me going on about not finding any at Art Nursery this year. Only room for one or two of these giants.

Great! That is one years growth as a seedling!!!!! I did leave them in the greenhouse over the winter as they were so small.

It is so strange how some people can select a small gift and get it just right and others send you a bilious green frog doorstops with a house brick in the middle or a paint your own gnome with 'for an artist' on the gift tag!It is the thought that counts.

My friend Barbara and I swap plants every week. We are always asking each other if we have such and such. I take her to Morrisons in the car and we always come back with plants or bulbs. :o)))
