Interesting. "Pan the God" was a cult song in Czecholovakia in 1968, during Russian invasion. The lyrics for this song was written on the melody of English balad "Greensleeves". The singer you can hear in this link, Marta Kubisova, was a very strong activit against Russian invasion and was not allowed to sing for 20 years. Vaclav Havel honoured her after he became the president.

Yes, she had a very strange voice. The lyrics isn´t so complicated - a girl is seduced and then abandoned by "Pan, a god of all herds."It was a catchword on atheism, where ten commandments were exchanged for life without moral, in the herd.
