The silver king of my garden! A huge and successful stunner that came up this spring quicker than most and again larger than before. The seed it set last year spread about, running second for the amount of new plants volunteering around the garden. I will be spreading it around.

Be careful, it is one of the strongest herbal airborne allergens.

Thank you all! I love it. Always bright even in the dark. The flowering heads are really the least attractive, when it overreaches itself. I can be overcome by the smell if I get in close. I couldn't handle it growing up in Idaho in the Rockies. There the hillsides are all artemisia and blooming season in the hot, I would get sick. Thanks for the concern Katarina. I feel my Valeriana officianalis has a much more potent presence in my garden. I feel in a cloud for a month while the flowers scent fills the area!

:-) I wish to have Valeriana in the garden, too. I once found it high in the mountains.
