Calendula

I grow these as companion plants on the allotment ... not sure if they are doing the job though!

They are supposed to help keep bugs at bay, aren't they Shirley...

Indeed ... seems the Blackfly on the Runner Bean leaves aren't responding! ... :o(

I remember last year growing runner beans...my brother told me to pinch out the tops before the blackfly get hold....did you pinch out Shirley?

No ... that's where I've gone wrong then! .......

Maybe Shirley...Apparently the gather on the tips on the young soft leaves....

I shall inspect them tomorrow and report back ... :o)
