Japanese white pine "Negishi".

Japanese white pine "Negishi".

Needles of a beautiful pine Negishi are 5-6 cm long, dark green with silvery grey film which gives it a unique, almost turquoise appearance. Mine has one meter, the definite height is 3 metres, but as it grows slowly, this height it will reach in around 50 years.

Japanese white pines are very popular here for bonsai.

Yes, you are right, Negishi is used here for bonsai, too, but also in small Japan gardens, as it grows very slowly. Its pines are really pictorial.
