It is very pretty. Eryngiums grow we'll here......probably thinks the wet Glasgow weather is the sea. ( sea holly)

Yes, they grow superbly well in the walled gardens too! I wonder why not in whites wood cottage?

Maybe it is too dry in this area, we are desperate for rain, supposed to have been raining here for hours but it has just started and it is not raining hard just a drizzle at the moment and they say it will have gone by 10am. Everyone else seems to be getting it wet this morning but us. Shame, not bothering with hosepipe at this time of year though the plants will have to manage without water now. lol : Too busy washing down walls and paintwork to be in the garden today.

It's horribly dry in parts of my garden, and very wet in others! I'm almost positive we have an underground spring!

I have been out watering the garden every second day.....plants are collapsing and it is hard work trying to save everything. We expect rain today at about four.......fingers crossed. How do they manage at Glamis?

Hmmm...it's been quite amazing how most things have stood up to the drought. The soil is absolutely perfect though I must say, it retains moisture and is full of food, but not too heavy. Everything has grown huge! I've never seen things get so massive in one season! Can't complain.

Hope to see for myself on Tuesday. As long as we have no frost until then. :0)

We got it back this afternoon. It has been cold here too. I put a few plants into the greenhouse.
