Colchicum "Innocence"

Unfortunately the bulb is getting smaller and smaller each year - is there anyone who could tell me how to make colchicum bubls fatter and bigger?

Thank you for your advice! I regularly fed (half strength of Tomorite) fortnightly but I seem to recall that I didn't water it well - I was a bit chicken in case they're rotten....

If they are in pots they need plenty of water and a feed after flowering and then of course dry and warm in summer,
I am only Successful with the dwarf ones in pots I find the larger ones need more root space they bulk in the ground but it must be well drained or they rot in our unpredictable climate.
The exception to that is Colchicum Agrippinum that builds up so fast in my ground that the many tunics it makes exclude all moisture from the bulb like corm.
