Hi Klahanie, mine is definitely Cornus Kesselringii or Black Stem Dogwood or Poor ManĀ“s Black Bamboo. I am not aware of the name you have mentioned. Maybe this is another sort. Mine neven bloomed in autumn, its tradtitional blooming season is late spring.

My Viburnum plicatum is blooming too. They have a habit do that every year. I think that it is the same plant as the one in your picture. Mine is starting to turn leaves to red.
