My godfather had several trunks of these roses. They were beautiful, strong, high bushes with large flowers. When we sold the house, the new owner cut them all. I didn t get even the piece of the rose in order to propagate it. In the summer I have got present to my anniversary. From Germany. This small graft started to bloom now. Wow. So large flower, as large, as my palm. And it has typical light yellow to cream color, slightly flushed at the petal edges with crimson-pink, like a rainbow. Symbol of peace, as this rose was named in the USA during WWII.

Thanks, this rose is very vigorous. I am not afraid it won´t grow into its beauty ;-) I was just surprised with that large flower on a yet very short stem.

I thought it was "Peace"! A beautiful rose - my grandmother used to grow it in her garden. I am so glad you have one now - I hope it thrives for you.
