He wasn't I assure you Lori- he was crawling along and I almost stepped on him .... but I didn't for the sake of all you insect lovers !!

I'd like to know his name...anyone have ideas as to a search term? Italian beetles, maybe?

All I could find on a quick google was pine borer beetles...not exactly this fellow...I'll keep looking. also...he seems to be minus one of is legs...
