Thanks Wohlibuli. It's sad but the lady looking at the camera is no longer with us - she had recently reached the ripe old age of 92.

How sad! She really looked like she truly belonged in the pic.

It's in Central Italy, about 60 kms from Rome, Tasteyg.

I lived in Rome, the eternal city.
My parents would have been married 60 years next May. I very much hope to be able to visit with my Mother, she would like to be able to scatter some of my Father's ashes where we had such good times together as a family.
My sister-in-law lives there too, she is married to an Italian.

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit your lovely country back in 2004. My grandfather took us on a lovely vaction...good memories :) He's from a small town called Vallata. The picture above reminds me of that town :)

Yes Tasteyg these small towns with their rock-built houses in anrrow street seem ratrher similar. Vallata is in Avellino, near Naples - a lot of people left that region (and other regions in the South) after the war to seek their fortune across the seas - - -

That would be my grandfather, Terry60. He came here to the states in the mid-to-late 40s and worked hard, saved his $ and made a good life for his family. My Tata, I love him dearly :)

So Mediterranean! Reminds me of a Greek island (I've never seen Italy).
