Fascinating form

I was always interested by how this plant transforms itself from a bright yellow flower to white feathery things specifically designed to be carried by the wind. If you look at it closely, you can't deny that it's an engineering marvel.

Remember when I mentioned Geometric patterns in nature? This is a perfect sphere, sturdy enough to hold the seeds in place, yet able to break off and fly for miles with the slightest breeze.

its like the force of rain hitting a delicate flower ....which the designs allows it to take the pounding... but stay formed...

Good comparison. I never thought of that, but exactly.

the comparison is good...the pattern looks set in the bloom before the seeds form...not seen that before. you must be interested in botanical structures (the botanics of the plants)possibly..or have friends family that have had or still do this interest...
