Yes, and their blue eggs. They are such docile birds which makes them easy prey for the neighborhood cats. Not such a good thing.

you like your wildlife??

Some of them, but not all. Most birds yes, not crazy about the squirrels that want to live in my attic - had to cut down some trees nor the opossums.

lots of members on here have problems with squirrels...i remember Fran she has..others have mention...but forgotten who, sorry... we did have (neighbours) and i in loft bats...but gone now..i think here bats are protected...

opossums!!! i would go great!!! but only because not seen one in the wild..do they do damage???

The opossums are nocturnal. They may get into your garbage and make a mess. They may try to live in your garage or shed or house if they can. They carry a lot of diseases and have a nasty bite! Once they make home, it's very difficult to eradicate. They will fight you to the death.

Did you see my pic of Costello, my cat? He does a good job of keeping the squirrels and opossums away. They won't come near if they scent a cat.

Lovely clear picture of the Robin Bathgate. I find the one's we have here, are so very friendly. As soon as you started digging in the garden they are there for any worms that you might turn over!
Jane it was me who was telling you about the squirrels in our loft! :o( They are real pests as they will chew through electric cabling and cause hell of an amount of trouble... Dog fur is a deterrant, so I'm collecting it from a friend who has a collie!

I agree Petal Tracey. I had a family of squirrels in my attic. When I got them out and closed up their entrance way, they created a new one, chewing straight through the roof into my attic. My cat Costello is pretty good at keeping them at bay.

The Robins here are just the same, always there in my veggie garden, but they help keeping the bugs away.
