I think you got it. We have the guys with bells for the Salvation Army - a charity basically. That has to be it. You are right on it!

Oh Wow..I'm not often good at guessing things Bathgate..please let us know if it's correct..We have the Salvation Army too..they do such a lot of good work..

I remember when the Salvation Army used to come around the streets singing Christmas carols. They don't do it now :o(

I used to go around the streets singing Christmas Carols too, with my Church Choir. We would visit the poor, elderly and shut ins- bringing food, money and donations, until my church closed its doors.

That's more like what Christmas really means. We used to do it too. It's a pity things like that have died out.

It sure is, there is such a big mix of cultures here, somebody is always offended at the mere utterance of "Christmas."

I can understand that, but I think they should accept it. We are not all the same, and would do well to tolerate each other's differences.
