It loves the conditions here, everything from the long, long dry to the short hot wet doesn't faze this plant.

I grow D.erecta as a house plant - it will never look as good as this though!

All of mine were severely damaged by a cyclone two years ago, Meanie, and have taken a while to recover. This is the first time I've had so many flower sprays on this particular shrub, which was the largest. It's covered in blooms once again and is looking spectacular. It's a great feature by our front gates.

Wow!!! It looks gorgeous!
I had this plant a few years ago but it didn't make through that unusual cold winter.
