Thanks - the violas are purple, really - it's the camera again, changing their true colour - so I'm not really being patriotic.

We had an explosion of 'will they' won't they' vote for Scotland being a separate nation yesterday when the First Minister revealed his vision for Scotland. I was obviously thinking about it when I saw your photograph.

I've been following the news on that, Scotsgran. I hope the United Kingdom stays just that - "united".

There are are lots of ways of looking at the question 'should Scotland be a separate nation'. I have found a lot of the comments being made both sides of the border very disturbing. I won't go in to them as I don't think this is the place to do that. We will know next year what has been decided. The question will not go away if the vote is 'no'.
