Weird plant & weird name to go with it! Goodness knows which family it belongs to.

:-) That is what I call strong opinion, Feverfew:-)
It has many English names such as Gout Plant, Buddha Belly or Guatemala Rhubarb.
It is a succulent (of Euphorbia family) with brilliant red colour and handsome very large (1ft diameter) waxy leaves. It is very showy about 2.5-3 ft high. It could be a conversation subject in your garden Feverfew :-)
I rather like it and so does Kasy. Thanks Kasy.

You're welcome Klahanie. I can see the similarities to Euphorbia in its leaves now you mentioned it. Nice common names as well - not sure which one I like most. Probably Buddha Belly:)

It is called Buddha belly because of it's swollen stem at the bottom.
I found very good link where one can learn everything they want and much more about this plant.

I do like the plant, K. But there's certainly not room for it in my garden. I'm sure I will one day see it at RHS Wisley or some other botanic gdn. Will be looking out for it.
