Clementine, how far is it to the nearest shop from your house please? It looks very beautiful, but also very remote?

Hywel, sorry, this photo was February two years ago. Only about eight inches at the moment.

Cottagekarer, the nearest shop is 25 miles in one direction, to town. In the other direction, 14 miles, there is a convenience store. There is a postal outlet in the village, or rather, hamlet which also is a garage. Not a thing to eat . The city is 100 miles for the closest. We can't buy things like sheets in our closest town, 25 miles away.
For ultrasound or such it is 100 miles although we do have a hospital in town. No operations done there though, all go out. We have good ambulance service and also medical helicopter and, if going to Vancouver, an airplane which comes in.

i would like that view as i really do love snow :-) but after saying that i do appreciate not everyone will.
