This is 2nd year for me.My other one,'Katherine Hodgkin',is a bit behind but looks ok too.I think they have a tendency to break up into small pieces, but there must be a way of overcoming this,I suppose.

Lovely shade of blue Pcw. Bjs I find having them in well draining pots or raised beds seems to encourage them to return or at least they did last year after Bulboholic said he was surprised that people find it hard to keep them flowering year on year. I read somewhere that if you plant them deeply enough they will concentrate on producing more flowers in subsequent years.

Excellent photo, PCW!
I'll take note of that info, Scotsgran. Thanks!

You're welcome Mouldy. Your raised beds should be ideal. Will you be at the early bulb show SRGC in Dunblane 15th February 10am to 4pm. If you travel by train it is right across the road from the station. There will be a great display of bulbs as well as loads for sale at both trade and the members stand.

I'll try, but no promises, mind, Scotsgran.

I dk if Cottagekaren will be there this year or not but Bulbaholic and Moongrower may well be but it will all depend on the weather.

I'm awaiting appointments for one scan plus an op and am also watching the weather. Lol.

I hope the results are positive in as much as they can help get you better.

Thanks, Scotsgran.
The odd thing was that I'd intended to put on a bit of weight over this winter!
The loss came as a shock! Lol.
The scan is a CTI(?)...the one that takes thousands of pictures, kind of like slices, of the internal organs, which builds up a full picture for the specialist to opine upon.
I've an appointment with the ortho department on 6th of Feb to have a chat and get a date for the op on my knee.
As for the arthritis, who knows?
Giving up smoking can be nothing but good for two of the problems, so I'm glad I've done that.
I'll just have to wait and see what sort of hand I'm dealt. ;-)
