Hi Sbg, which cultivation group is this 1 in ?, it's obviously hardy, but whenever I've tried them, I lose them, must be getting the wrong species, this is a very nice 1, Derek.

oh I've no idea Derek. It is a solida variant I think. I just put it in semi shade good drainage and left it alone.

BJS will probably have a better idea as he grows quite a few of these beauties.

if I may intrude these are C. Solida group and have corms, growth disappears soon after flowering.
A totally different type of which Flexuosa forms are most often seen in shades of blue have a soft rootstock that are beloved of slugs in many gardens, maybe that's what you had.

no its a Scilla lingulata, probably early as I got it for the AGS at Caerleon in Feb
