Kerria japonica is a well-known upright, suckering, spring-flowering shrub, with yellow pom-pom flowers. There is also a single-flowered form with yellow cup-shaped blooms. Being a plantsman, I have tracked down a white-flowered form.

DD - I expect this will sucker as well once it gets going. I only managed to track down a supplier and plant it twelve months ago, so this is the first time it has flowered. Another rarity :-)

Very nice, Andrew. I have the single flowered yellow one, and I love it in spite of its wandering.
