Arum creticum - 2014

Tuberous perennial, growing to about 18 inches. Needs good drainage, but a bit of humus in the soil, and a sheltered site in full sun. The flowers only last a few days.
I think this is benefiting from last year's good summer (there will be 11 flowers on it this year), and I have noticed a self-sown seedling nearby as well.

DD - this plant is nine years old, so I wouldn't call it invasive

Let's hope it wasn't this one then.
