Climber for well-drained soil in a sunny position (although mine is growing in clay in part shade!). Will eventually reach 15 feet if left unpruned. Protect the lower stems from cats who will rub against them - a barrier of semi rigid ring of wire netting about three inches from the stem, up to a height of about 18 inches, will do the trick.
